i really don't know what made me love this man so strongly for that short period of my life where i did. i don't like video games THAT much. old tech maybe? he has a really, really nice smile though. i sort of cringe watching some of his videos, especially ones where he's being interviewed or interacted with. it's all very minecon to me. i've been getting better with this sort of thing recently -- the ai uprising has made me love human idiosyncrasies and our passions all that much more. i don't think he's really awkward anyway. he did this video with jontron once where it was so clear that jon was fangirling and james was just being chill about it. i think he had a daughter at this point so he's very paternal to me there especially. he's also a metal fan! he did this tour of his DVD collection once and i specifically remember him having a slayer concert recording amongst a couple others from older metal bands i don't really care about. sweet guy. good videos for putting on in the background.
