i got into poker initially when my dad got a little pro on it. he's one of those monotone autists so his poker face is, as you can imagine, stone fucking solid. on this note, there's speculation that widely regarded number-one-poker-player-in-the-world phil ivey also has some sort of neurodivergence -- 'adderal eyes', they say. LOL. i'm not saying you have to be autistic to play poker, but it clearly helps. anyway. back to phil.
i luuuuuuv phil ivey. his being so quiet makes you really appreciate any display of character he offers elsewise in a game. my fav clips of this are probably when he's getting pissed at phil hellmuth on poker after dark, or just that whole bluff thing with tom dwan. god that might be my favourite poker clip ever. phil laak is there riffing with antonio esfandiari. he keeps saying 'baller'.
